Doing some basic figure conversion, and damn if I don't try to lop off a few fingers in the process! Remember kids, alcohol and sharp objects don't mix! |

Who needs fingers? |

it's a great excuse for not painting.... PJ |

Patrick, Patrick, Patrick.....how are you going to attend the next painting night if you cannot hold a glass of beer or wine? :) What those fingers! John |

ooops, meant "watch" those fingers. |

Fingers are such an un-natural way to hold a paintbrush. Had we evolved from the primordial ooze with the goal of perfection being the ability to hold minis, I would think that we would have a hole in which to insert paintbrushes. With a finger loped off, that exposes the hollow marrow, a natural socket into which to jam a paintbrush. |

A razor saw???? Not a power tool? |
| NikkiB | 19 Jan 2005 1:51 p.m. PST |
LOL....hey, at least it wasn't a CHAINsaw!!! |

Ah, but alcohol and sharp objects DO mix! The alcohol will tend to numb the pain, and if you have any Glenfiddich left in your glass after shearing off your unwanted digits, you can always dunk your bloody stubs, just to sterilize the wounds. |

Don't worry John, it was my LEFT hand, I'll have no problem participating in the "painting ritual" OFM: Although I do use my Dewalt drill in place of a pin vice, I've not found an (in?)appropraite power tool to use in place of the razor saw. Maybe if I ever buy a scroll saw, but I can't "justify" one with the Finance Minister... |

Vallallan: That sounds like a waste of good whiskey, if you ask me! |
| GreatScot72 | 19 Jan 2005 3:36 p.m. PST |
Good point! Drink all the whisky. If your BAC is high enough, those pesky pathogens won't be able to survive in the wound. |

Many years ago we had an exhibition of foot and mouth painters artwork at the library. So I guess the usual process is hands first, then feet. After feet I would recommend cutting back on conversions. |

Try a Dremel tool with the High Speed Steel saw blade instead of a razor saw - 30,000rpm & 70 teeth. MMmmmmArrgh! |
