For by fire and sword. Where there every any rules for this figure? And where can I find them? Also Orthodox Priest and Col Von Thorn, any love for them? And while I am at it, any use for the trilogy figures, Aldin the Smith or The Boss Sosonski? I like all of these, and am starting to paint them. it would be nice if I could get them on the table. Only some fo the figures have special rules, check outthe Ducats catalogue for which ones do ( link ). The orthodox priest os to be added to the monk bases for the cossacks rabble. Most of the other specials can replce officers on command bases or in units for variety. I plan to use the mounted trilogy charcaters like this and the foot ones as objective markers. The cossack witch is one with special rules, but only in polish, link leigh |

A crude translation courtesy Google! Special models is a bonus for playing in Fire and Sword. These models can not be bought, but only receive for participating in tournaments, competitions and other forms of promotion of music. Each model hasits own special rules. The player who has a special model can use it on any official tournament Fire and Sword. Usage of the special model does not increase the forces of the army and do not need to include in the roster. Level 1 – Driveway(?) player can have on the table a special model. At higher levels – as much as the level of game (2 at the Division 3 at the Field Army etc..). During the Khmelnytsky Uprising Cossacks were resorting to various tricks. As soon as they were unsure of their forces were ready to call on the devil (or worse – could ask for help from the Crimean Khan, Turkish Sultan and the Tsar of Moscow …). Khmelnytsky had a particular esteem bestow witches and all kinds of wizardry. Model Sorcerers can be placed on the base commanders, etc. or as a separate stand. If it is a stand-alone model is replaced by the following special rules. Witch on a separate base moves 10 cm. It is treated as a label not as a unit – it can not be attacked and can not fight etc. If a unit, or the commander of the enemy makes contact with the model witch is immediately killed. The witch can normally encountered in the movement phase, and in charge, etc. Witch is not a unit, therefore do not apply the rule prohibiting approach to a distance of less than 2 cm from it. Once per turn in Phase Orders witch can cast a spell. Roll the dice: 1 and less: Incantations, Witch collects power. Roll again in the next round, subtracting 2 from the dice. 2: Secret gesture, Witch performs a mysterious gestures. Take a Morale test on the nearest enemy unit, which has the witch in its field of view. Failing the test means that the soldiers pray and bid farewell to the sign of the cross. 3: Evil Eye, The witch uses a powerful charm to influence the enemy commander. Take a Morale test for nearest enemy commander who has in his field of vision the Witch. Failing the test means the commander of the gun over his left shoulder, to reject charm. 4-10: Spells ineffective. Nothing happens. Leigh |

Witch was just April Fools joke, she is not used for games at all :) Orthodox Priest is used to replace monk with Cossacks Rabble or just as an addition to Command Base for Cossacks or Muscovites – no rules. Von Thorn don't have any rules, as – alongside few other minis from last year – is mini of one of member of BFaS design team, in that case – me :) (I used to study and live in Torun [German name – Thorn] in Poland). OK, thanks for that. I had planed on using them for command figures, but wanted to be sure there was not something else to do with them. Looks like Von Thorn needs an Infantry regoiment build around him. Mnay thanks to both of you. Owen |
