Nice find Tango.

wyeayeman16 Sep 2014 3:19 a.m. PST

can we assume 28mm?

wyeayeman16 Sep 2014 3:20 a.m. PST

ah! 15mm

morrigan16 Sep 2014 4:15 a.m. PST

I wrongly assumed 28mm as well. Those are amazing figures.

Rebelyell200616 Sep 2014 4:52 a.m. PST

Those look great. Do they plan on having a distributor in America?

clibinarium16 Sep 2014 5:02 a.m. PST

Those are first class. Though they might want to thicken the musket rests a bit before casting.

Tango0116 Sep 2014 11:56 a.m. PST

Happy you like them boys!. (smile)

But once again with distorted anatomical proportions: namely the now almost universal severely foreshortened calfs.

Try blocking out a figure below the knee with your hand; looks normal, right? Now picture in your mind's eye where the foot should be based on reasonable anatomical accuracy (not necessarily perfectly reflective of real people), then take your hand away. Weird, yes? Often on contemporary miniatures the bottom of the foot is about where the ankle should start; on these it might be even higher.

'Tis pity, as they are indeed very well sculpted.

badger2216 Sep 2014 5:41 p.m. PST

Henry Martini, I wonder if that is to keep them from being so easy to break off at the calves?

Did anybody find a way to order some of these? I looked so i could check postage to the USA, but cant find a way to order some of them. MAybe to new , but you would think they would want to be selling them. or am i just being a Luddite and cant find it

Wow those look great, I thought they 28mm, too bad

Totentanz Miniatures17 Sep 2014 2:55 a.m. PST

@Clibanarium, you are right. We'll correct that at the foundry for the production moulds.

@Henry,
The "calzon", the trouser, was tied below the knee covering part of the calf. It was a looser, longer atire than the XVIII century one. We have tried to represent the look the better we could. Anyway we have to make some concesions to the scale.

@badger22
The webshop is no uploaded yet. In fact we are a bit surprised of the reaction to the figures. Overwhelmed is the word :) Some more news soon.

Thank you a lot!!!

Totentanz, I've been working on a similar project, the Spanish of the earlier part of the 80 Years' War, so I've been having to deal with issues like the musket rest.

These sculpts really are lovely I think you'll do well.

Das Sheep22 Nov 2014 5:22 p.m. PST

They look great!!

WKeyser26 Nov 2014 6:42 a.m. PST

Just got some samples from warmodeling in spain. Great figures and warmodeling now has all ten packs. I have a couple of questions for totentanz.

Pack 05 are they supposed to be dragoons as on the warmodeling site they list them as "skirmishing calivermen"

Pack 07 are they pikemen in floppy hats or are they offficers?

Thanks
William

Totentanz Miniatures26 Nov 2014 11:42 a.m. PST

Pack 5 are calivermen in "skirmish", the gun is bit bigger to proxy them as dragoons or commanded shot

Pack 7 are pikemen in breast and back armour and plummed hats, the sculptor shoot them with polearms for test. Sorry for the confusion.

WKeyser28 Nov 2014 3:45 a.m. PST

Hi Totentanz
Just ordered 24 packs from Warmodeling, now we need some cavalry and any others that you release.

Do you have a plan for December releases?

THanks
William

to me henry the arms look like they are a little too long, which is a shame because otherwise they looks great! the too short legs thing is an optical illusion caused by the clothing i think. but some of the models definitely have chimp arms……

Totentanz Miniatures16 Dec 2014 3:34 a.m. PST

Yes, there is a couple figures with overstreched arms (just 2 mm but in this scale this is noticeable) and there is another couple the clothing makes them looks so. Thank you a lot for the comments.

conflans26 Jan 2015 6:37 a.m. PST

Does anyone know where to order these figures? the Warmodelling site has been down for some time now. Thanks.

Great looking figures again.

One question who is carrying them now as there seems to be some issues with Warmodeling?
