I picked this up at this year's Historicon Flea Market. Does anyone know who makes it? I'd like to add some more to my fleet. It comes with rowers & gunners(currently on my painting table) oars, a cannon and seated Marines. The rounded end is actually the bow and the "pointed end" is the stern. link |

It looks like something Redoubt makes. |

That's what I thought too but couldn't find a picture of it on their site |

Perhaps a discontinued piece? The interior resembles one of their F&IW landing barges. |

It is definitely a 'barge' from Redoubt. However, the Redoubt site is very not very user friendly when it comes to unique items. You have to know where to find it or you stumble on it by browsing. As I did just now and found a pontoon set complete with crew that I had not seen before. For example I was looking for the gunboat that comes complete with rowers (which I have and is an exquisite collection) sailors, marines and a gun on a slider in the bow, but I now can't find it. The gunboat is listed under Napoleonic and Longboat and landing party. However, there is no long boat. Perhaps it is discontinued. Sorry to go on a bit. If you go to the site and type in 'barge' in the search window, you will get four or five types of barges plus types of crew. Redoubt makes a very good series of figures and is recommended. |
