hi all… making a flying visit to london in a couple days for work… all the way from nz. i might have a few hours off – and it would be a few hours only – in between meetings, and i'd be keen to do some shopping. anyone know of stockists in and around london (i'm staying in hyde park) that would carry the perry agincourt / orleans line? widest range possible and likelihood of having all in stock is paramount, as is, obviously, easy to get to from hotel. input and suggestions greatly appreciated. |

I am not aware of any shops in London that stock metal Perry figures. You can get the boxed plastics but not the metal. Unless anyone else knows different … |

Orcs Nest near Piccadilly Circus or Dark Sphere near Waterloo should have the Perry plastics. I haven't seen either carrying their metals though. Also, no idea about their likely stock levels. |

Orcs Nest do have a few Perry metals (or at least they did when I was there a couple of weeks ago). If memory serves they are upstairs on the shelves at the back. However, I'm not certain whether the figures I saw were HYW or Wars of the Roses. They are really nice people and I'm sure if you drop them an email they will let you know what they have in stock.: orcsnest.com/index.asp |

How about going onto the internet and mail ordering from a UK based stockist for delivery to your Hyde Park hotel. That way you only pay post and packing at UK rates. You may even find a stockist that does free post and packing to UK addresses. |

UK wargame retail is almost entirely via internet or shows. The cost of bricks and mortar retail space is too high in most cases to make a wargames shop economically viable. It is a consequence of having a small, densely populated country. Land and property are in short supply so they cost a lot! London is even worse. A nice family-sized house, sir? Certainly sir. That will be a million quid, please…… |

Don't think that Dark Sphere stock Perry metals of plastics. But if you fancy a visit here are their details: darksphere.co.uk Ezza |

You could check whether Leisure Games have them, drop them an email as they carry most of the Perrys plastics, not sure about metals. link Take the Northern Line tube to Finchley Central, and it's about a 5 minute walk to Leisure Games. Personally, I would try ashill2's suggestion and go direct to source & get them to ship direct to your hotel. |
