Any less expensive alternates to the GW Steam Tank that I can use with my 28mm Empire army? |

There's lots of steam tanks available for Victorian Science Fiction gaming. You might ask on that board as well. If you're crafty, you can make one out of a Mott's Healthy Harvest applesauce container, an old spool, and other bits:

The Mage Knight model is pretty neat (and quite a deal), but it is really big. I don't know how big the Empire steam tank is, Here's the Mage Knight model next to a GW figure.

Okay, may have found one, just add funnel and some empire shields I like it! It's like the notion was staring me in the face the whole time. |

I don't think I ever realized what a chunk the Mage Knight tank is. The figure in the pic does the trick, for scale. |

Well it is far bigger than the Empire Tank so not much use there. But it would be perfect for a Ork vehicle for 40K. |

Chris: I like that picture you posted. I've got a steam tank from Ironclad miniatures but I can't decide if a paint job would be enough to make it fit with my Empire army, whereas that one seems to have an almost da Vinci feel to it. Better stock up on dessert! |
