A friend is looking for 20mm figures compatible with Britannia 20mm figures, particularly cavalry.

Particularly with American distributors.

Would you consider plastics?

Try IT Miniatures from Frontline Wargaming.

If Britannia ww1 figures are anything like their ww2 ranges, then I'd be surprised if anything matched.

In more general terms, there is very large availability of plastics, Airfix, HAT, Emhar, Revell etc, particularly useful for cheap artillery. I flesh them out with some metals, mainly IT miniatures, who do good cavalry.

Early War Miniatures are the best in my opinion, I have had mixed results with plastics, Emhar being the best along with HaT, but their poses are limited.

For metal, Lancer miniatures British cavalry are good and mix fine with Britannia British cavalry. Early War Miniatures French cavalry mix fine and the range is extensive with dismounted on the way. Britannia do the best German cavalry, but as far as I know there are no dismounted Germans unless you use IT, which are slightly smaller but nice figures, or Tumbling dice which are extensive but much smaller size

Don't know Brittania, but got several Early War samples and they are lovely. Wrong scale for me, since my Mesopotamian front stuff is 10mm and my friend's Western front stuff is 15mm.
