Thanks Redroom, One thing one should for the terrain is separate the Dried green & brown vine leaves & crush sieve them through a metal sieve. If you have no access to these any other herb ( like oregano or tea can be used ). Other things which can be used for terrain are Poppy seeds or similar and any crushed shell ( like walnut, pistachio or peanut ). Nature has all the materials ,all one needs to do is look. 2 of the Ursas have had modifications to their left or right leg so as to have 3 different leg poses. All one has to do is saw 3/4ths of the way through the foot & bend to have a walking pose. Glad you like them also Avamango. Go ahead, would love to see your AA Brits one you finish them, you can see mine on my previous post. Those Ursa Mechs are one very nice hefty peice of model metal.Micropanzer did some serious work on them. Quite straight forward if you want a standard pose( like my leader model ) Not so easy to pin(I always pin, especially heavy models)if you want to convert them,as they have a unique system to affix the legs. A sort of half rounded cylinder in the lower torso that fits into a half round hole in the legs(this is the most difficult part to pin,as the twist drill has a tendency to slip on the peg whilst drilling). The arms have rounded pegs that mate in a ball & socket system in the upper torso.I strongly suggest that one uses a round headed milling tool to hollow the torso so that the arms fit better, careful though,if you hollow too much you might have problems with mating the left hand with the gun. And remember Superglue loves your fingertips !!!! Z |

Crazy??? You lost me there, combatpainter. Hindsight is golden, they say.I was thinking how I could have fitted the converted legs with less hassle.Simple, file the tip of the half rounded cylinder in the lower torso flat. That way it will not be difficult to do mating holes when you drill from the outside. I posted a pic on the top of the post to explain better. Z |

Hello again all, I'm thinking of getting some support weapon for the my Nova Cossack Group(this is a name I'm currently thinking about ) but am stuck on whether to get the heavy flamer, missile, the sniper or the Tesla one. Any thoughts, especially from any who got them, would be appreciated. If I were to ask Rebel Mike,he'll suggest that I should get them all, most probably :):):) , which I might even do eventually as all 4 are great minis. Thanks all Z |
