"The next day I could still perform together with Jürgen of the Kurpfälzern the army of the crusaders in the Battle of Hattin. In this scenario, Field of Glory, our troops had to make their way out of the plane set fire to pave the Horns of Hattin. As our men were by the infidels for some time been rushed through the desert and we found each water point occupied by the enemy, we crept just exhausted on the field of battle (-1 movement for all troops). But by the True Cross we took courage, and drew hope for a victorious outcome (+2 to all tests in 12 MU range around the cross). Despite the murderous bombardment and the unremitting attacks rider we hacked our way free and even if many of our brothers remained on the battlefield, we were finally able to gain the victory. In addition to the great scenario especially the great figures must be mentioned. I'm usually not a big 15mm fan, but these troops were extremely impressive"

What a marvellous find my friend, something wonderful that I would have otherwise missed. Thank you.

Those Crusade figures are really, really nicely painted and the blog site is fantastic. I noticed an absence of beer amongst those Germans though! It must have been 7PM somewhere in the world, tell them!! wink

Most appear to be Legio Heroica figures, which are indeed very nice.

I've played Hattin several times. Unless the wind cooperates with the Crusaders, they always lose. That last night of smoke and smoke in the morning is the breaking point….
