"At the International Defense Industry Exhibition ADEX 2014 in Azerbaijan, the national Ministry of Defence Industry unveils an upgrade of Soviet-made BTR-70 8x8 armoured vehicle personnel carrier fitted with the Simsek weapons platform.

The Soviet BTR-70 8×8 amphibious armoured personnel carrier was shown in public for the first time during the November 1980 parade in Moscow.

The hull of the BTR-70 is of all-welded steel armour construction with improved protection over its frontal arc compared to the original BTR-60 series. The standard version of the vehicle is fitted with one-man turret armed with a 14.5 KPVT and a 7.62 mm PKVT machine gun…"

Pretty sure thats a BTR80 or BTR90 hull .. ??

Don't thiknk it is a BTR-80 hull, as the firing ports are flush with the hull -- the -80 has angled firing ports, and there isn't a large door between the 2nd and 3rd wheel stations.
