I wanted to try if the fantastic plastic DAK from Perry could be easily converted to late war germans. The miniatures with boos i just filed off the laces to make them wearing jackboots and the sides of the trousers to make them wearing normal trousers not riding ones. The miniature with ankle boots, I just carved with a hobby knife the gaiters, very easy to do. I pleased how they look and I have started painting them.

Here some pictures

Cheers

Nice job! I'm planning to do this in reverse with Wargames Factory's Late Germans. They look like they might make good proxies for DAK infantry.

Some of the boots look a little bit high, but overall a fantastic job

True, the jackboots look a little big high. I lowered the boots, now look better

What is the size comparison with the Warlord Games Germans? Are they interchangeable?
Nice look though almost like old Airfix in pose, only thing I'd try to do is get the kit to fall straight down and close to legs so that they don't stick out (easy to do with plastics and better for not snapping off. When handling;)
Cheers happy gaming
