Minden Miniatures has launched a new Kickstarter campaign to add SYW Austrian and Russian artillery equipment to its range

picture

(Above picture shows the Minden Austrian artillery crew with other brands of equipment. We will be making our own equipment in the future).

We hope to raise $3,000 USD USD in pledges and a stretch goal of $8,000 USD USD will add the Russian cannon ( including a Shuvulov Secret Howitzer).

The Austrian cannon will include the Liechtenstein System 3-pdr, 6-pdr, 7-pd howitzer, 12-pounder and limber.

Here is a picture of the Austrian 12-pounder:

Also, Austrian and Russian ammo wagons are also on the drawing board.

I tried to join this Kickstarter at the $75.00 USD level, but Amazon doesn't recognize my ZIP code. Apparently I already have an Amazon account--when they saw my e-mail address they told me so-- but I got it sometime in the past 10 yrs and I've moved 4 times. It is so maddening to have to deal with companies years later. They usually will not respondd to e-mails, so you are just locked out.

I had to to reconfirm my Amazon account before I could hit the launch button. Maybe that is the answer.

I like the Grenzers in the back ground. Are they part of this project?

The Grenz are already available from Minden Miniatures. I'd be happy to help you select what you need.

I have a suggestion. Or two.
Seems to me that some (of us) are interested in cannon and crew but not horses wagons and whatnot.
Maybe another mix of figures with less wagons personalities and whatnot might be something to consider.
And if you could either find a uk distributor or deliver directly from griffin for substantial orders. That would be much more attractive. Much.

OK, I just added two more rewards level for 2 cannon with crew and 3 cannon with crew. We already had options for one and four cannon and crew.

1 cannon = $15 USD
2 cannon = $25 USD
3 cannon = $40 USD
4 cannon = $50 USD

Cannon and crew options include:

1 cannon and crew of 4 = $25 USD
2 cannon and crew of 8 = $45 USD (new pledge level added)
3 cannon and crew of 12 = $65 USD (new pledge level added)
4 cannon and crew of 16 = $75 USD

We have reached our first funding stage of $3,000 USD as of today – thank you to all who have backed the project so far, after only one day!

The next stretch goal level is $8,000 USD and this will put the Russian artillery into production. If we reach the stretch goal of $12,000 USD (Russian crew), then I will add some pledge levels for Russian guns and/or Russian guns and crew, or simply allow for the substitution of any nationality that Minden makes.

What a great project this is. Very nice. I'll get back to you concerning those Prussian "Brummers". I need some of these.
Bonne chance for the good cause.

Cheers,
Christian

Progress report:pledges totalling $3,927 USD have been received as of today as we advance towards the stretch goal of $8,000 USD which unlocks the Russian artillery equipment.

I should point out that all pledges of $100 USD or more come with Swap Prvileges that allow you to swap the retail value of your pledge for any other figures in the Minden and Fife & Drum figure ranges.

@ AOneal: all of the Fife & Drum/Minden artillery equipment and related artillery crew are now available from our UK distributor, Crann Tara Miniatures. CT will also carry the complete AWI range of figures, the Minden civilians, and the Minden SYW Highlanders and Hanoverians.

Some of these changes are fairly recent, so we haven't had time to change all of the web pages to reflect the items available from Crann Tara. However, if you contact Graham Cummings, he will help you find what you are looking for.

Crann Tara, Fife & Drum and Minden are all sculpted by Richard Ansell, so there are some obvious synergies at work here.

It looks like the Austrian artillery and the Prussian Brummer are financed so far. Congratulations!

We are now at $6,725 USD or only $375 USD away from unlocking the Russian artillery. Only 10 days left in the KS campaign .
