After far too long we have some real news here at Metal Express! Available now for downloading are the proposed (Beta) revised rules and ship displays for the alien Night Brood ships for Silent Death: The Next Millennium!
That's right, loyal fans of this classic space fighter board game for miniatures, at long last, thanks to the generous time and talents of long time Silent Death fan and playtester Adam Peszel, we have overcome a major production hurdle and can now offer up our first new ship displays in far too many years!
Further, we have ship display sheets for *ALL* of the Night Brood ship miniatures available, including those six ship minis that never previously had a ship display of any sort! That's right, there's now a ship display for the Skree, the Bright Thorn, the Scarab, the Eel, and massive gunboat crunching Monarch, and the insidious Worm Pod! There's even a set of fast playing Boarding Action rules to enable the Worm Pods to do their vile job of neutralizing Terran escort vessels by delivering a dozen Blood Worms into their hulls, unleashing these horrific Brood bio-beasts to hunt down and rend their hapless crew members into cat food!
This is a major overhaul of the Night Brood, a monumentally powerful Deus Ex Machina alien faction that fans of Silent Death can attest were clearly not playtested thoroughly enough in their original form, and they grossly imbalanced the game accordingly. This is the first serious step in the process of bringing the Night Brood down to earth as it were, and we're asking fans of Silent Death to step up, download the PDF file, and provide us with some playtesting feedback on the Metal Express Forum.
The new Night Brood rules and ship display sheets can be found on the Metal Express home page here:

So grab your flight helmets people! It's time to kick the tires and light those fires and take on the Night Brood in all their weird and vicious alien glory! We want YOU to join the fight to relight the fire of this classic space fighter board game!
