Based on a recent thread, I was wondering which of the fleet of Batmobiles did I like the best. TMP link Being a bit old-school, I went for the classic:
How about you?

The 1950s version – that's how I usually draw it. Ron |

That's a toughie. . .I grew up with the '66 version – "Atomic batteries to power!", the 50s one has sleek lines, the version from the '89 Keaton movie had an interesting design, and even played an important role in the action! Maybe a poll, 'least favorite Batmobile?'

I assume that most of us will go to the batmobile(s) of our youth. For me there's two TIm Burton's Batmobile
Over the top sure, but just gorgeous and it's fins and lines pay homage to the early batmobiles in a way that the recent incarnations just don't. My favorite though is the design form "Batman the Animated Series".
It's like a beautiful Streamline Moderne dream. Actually the whole design aesthetic of that series still holds up for me today. Probably because it already looked timeless when it was released. Further, I don't think the overall look of any other TV or movie interpretation of the Batman IP pre-Nolan (which hasn't had time to age yet) has held up so well. |

The new one is really ugly. So was the Christen Bale one, which looked like an SUV on its way to the grocery store. The original old school one from the TV show is great but would be campy, low tech and out of place today. I like the one from the Michael Keaton movie. It was sleek, hi-tech and super cool, with art deco touches, great car. I like the animated one too, see the picture in the post above. |

The 'Tumbler' from the Christopher Nolan movies is probably the most realistic batmobile, but I reckon my personal favourite is the car from the Arkham Asylum/Arkham City games. |

"Atomic batteries to power. Turbines to speed." "Roger. Ready to move out." 1966 all the way baby! |

The 1966 version is "the" Batmobile, but I do love the Tim Burton design. I notice no one has mentioned the Joel Schumacher designs (Batman Forever, Batman And Robin.) Probably just as well… |

No love for the one from the Batman serials of the thirties or fourties (just as well…). 1966 followed by the 1989 Burton one. All the other screen ones are ugly. I have no knowledge of the animated ones other then the one from Superfriends – and the less said about that the better. |

1966 is my favorite. Early this year I did a round up of Hot Wheels Batmobiles and photographed them with my 1/72nd scale Batman. You may enjoy the photos on several pages. link Mike Bunkermeister Creek Bunker Talk blog

I detest the 60's series, but something about that Batmobile design sticks with me. |
