link I guess we will need figures of this. Besides all the fantasy ones that already exist. Too bad there is no photo of it there. |

Yes, archaeologists tend to fixate on stone artifacts simply because the probably more common wooden, bone & other materials have decayed. Tribal people in historical times often wore bones for protection so such a find isn't totally surprising.
And I agree, a photo would have been excellent. |

But because it will be a historical figure, it will be half the cost of the fantasy figures and everyone will still complain it is too expensive. |

As they call it a 'sheath,' it may have looked similar to this -
Seyma-Turbine Culture (Сейминско-турбинская культура) - , Russia -B.C 18~ 15th centry -Deer's horn Not sure how much this later suit would have evolved from the earlier. |

Some more illustrations at link – including the reconstruction goragrad showed, but also some pics of the new – unrestored, fragmentary – armour. |

Nice addition GurKan. By the way, here is the site I found that picture at. It is a Korean's blog on armor, etc. The listing of finds at his site shows a set of fragments from an armor dated to the 20th C. BC. No reconstruction there and I don't know Russian to see if there is any updated info. link |

Thanks, miniMo and IVAN DBA! They may have some potential for earlier times, too. It's a shame that only part of the range would seem to be pictured, though. |
