Lots of interest in this one, so here you go! |

What about the proposed colonials board as well – rather more interest in that genre than 1812 (I'm assuming you're referring to that minor tussle along the Canadian border than the real deciding match of the Napoleonic Wars in Russia) I suggest? |

Yes, a colonial board would be most welcome |

I wasn't aware that it had gained the required 40+ supporters? There are only 35 posts (as at 12 Sep 2014 5:17 a.m. PST) on this thread: TMP link |

I salute this decisive Editorial act. Why wait? |

Oh yes. "And there was much rejoicing." Wow! Look at all the threads cross posted to it too! That was a lot of work. Appreciated. Of course interested parties can go to their Bladensburg and Plattsburgh threads and request crossposting. |

Huzzah! I, for one, am quite happy about this. Eric |

Cool! And not long ago I just received my first order of 54mm 1812 figs from Armies in Plastic. |
boy wundyr x | 12 Sep 2014 7:21 a.m. PST |
Double cool – I have some 3mm figs set aside for this, and one of my clubs plays it in 6mm every so often. |

Yes! Finally after many many years of asking. Many thanks to all that supported it and Winston for re-galvanizing the need and interest. And a big thank you to our dear editor Bill for making it a reality. |
Zargon | 12 Sep 2014 10:24 a.m. PST |
Thank you Mr Editor, I believe this board will be (if a bit partisan;) a well used board. Cheers all |

Yeah! Thanks! …… |

Another "Thank You, Dear Editor," and, yes, let's push on to the Colonials Board, etc. TVAG |

Perhaps "Imperialism Board" would be a better name? We refer to the 13 Colonies rebelling in the AWI and the name can be ambiguous. I for one attach no negative stigma to the term "Imperialism". Why doesn't someone interested ask for it like I did in my request for the War of 1812 Board? Spread the credit (or blame) around! I would support it, whether it's named Colonial or Imperialism. And TSATF need NOT be amalgamated into it. That is a rules system, while the proposed Board is a history themed Board. |
Toronto48 | 12 Sep 2014 1:34 p.m. PST |
We asked for this in 2011 and it never came to a vote |
Old Contemptibles | 12 Sep 2014 3:04 p.m. PST |
I propose "Victorian Era Warfare." Which would cover every conflict during the reign of Victoria. Including French colonial wars and all other imperial warfare. "Colonial" is too vague, is it Colonial America? Imperialism sounds too political. TSATF could be part of it saving everyone the trouble of crossposting. TMP should be about gaming historical periods. Yahoo covers rules. At least IMHO. |

Glad to have an 1812 board, as I am planning a campaign using Black Powder. |

Thank you for implementing an 1812 Board. Now if I can only post my pics… |

I don't understand. We've been talking about reforming the Naval Boards for a couple of months. I was told by Our Dear Leader it needed to go to a vote on poles. Yet this dog and pony show gets a new board in 3 fraking days with no vote! What gives? |
Tango01 | 15 Sep 2014 12:45 p.m. PST |
I still support the "Age of Sail" board (smile) Amicalement Armand |

Enough griping, let's just be glad we have the 1812 board. What rule systems are players using? Ihave trired Rockets Red Glare, and an numberof other rules but so far I like Black Powder the best. Have you to try British Grenadier. |
Vincent Solfronk | 16 Sep 2014 1:36 p.m. PST |
Believe it or not, I have a USA-1814 army based on FogN. The rules work really well even though the Americans get overmatched in non-historical matchups (European Shock Cav run through my troops). If anyone is interested, I can send a copy of my army lists for the Wo1812. They include: United States: 1812-1813 United States: 1814-1815 Great Britain in Canada Great Britain Invasion Forces |
