I've seen references on TMP and the SB3 Yahoo Group about the rate of fire used in the rules being set at the optimal rate and not that under "average" conditions.

What I am looking for is what are those "average" rates that players have toned this down to. The only references I seem to find in my books or online are those same optimal ROFs the rules use.

If you don't play SB3 but can reference a source I can use that would also be greatly appreciated.

I tried the SB3 Yahoo group but all I got was crickets. I have seen the SB3 author post here occasionally so between he and experienced WW1 naval gamers I am hoping to get some direction.

Thanks!

From memory, I think I toned down the gunnery rof by about half when we played the two scenarios above. It seemed to be ok.
