Can anyone help identify these? link OK, yes, kind of a joke. But these models actually are pretty cool. Can anyone tell who makes them, and what scale they're at? |

They look like some old Soviet era toys. I used to see them in specialty and collectable shops during the Thaw… Damon. |

They tend to be 1:48ish. Look up "russian diecast" on Ebay and you can find a piece here and there. APCs are the most common it seems. They come right from Eastern Europe/Russia The boxes I have seen are a bit nondescript. |

They're similar to the Solido and Dinky toys sold in the west. |

I don't know the makers of the toys in question. However, to identify the actual vehicles portrayed, I pulled out my news media guide. Starting with the first row and going left to right, they are; A Tank, another tank, and one more tank. Second row (l to r) yep, a tank, this is a tank and that is a tank. Back row (l to r) holy cow, a tank, wow it's a tank, yepperdoodle that be a tank too. |

The BTRs are old Cold War issue Russian toys, about 1:48 scale – I have one in my office |

Now ID the vehicles, no cheating. Top row: Truck, BTR-60, BRDM, Middle Row: ZSU-57 Tank maybe a T-34/85?, PT-76 Bottom Row:Truck, jeep like, BRDM-1 I might be off on a few of these its been a long time since my vehicle recognition days. |

I had a Russian-made tank (diecast), awhile back, and I think it was closer to 1/43rd scale. |

T-54-3, ventilator dome on top of the turret, spherical turret, no fume extractor. Few manufacturers did those during soviet era, Im having ASU-57(quite rough model, around 1:60-65 in scale) and BTR-60PB somewhere. IIRC BTR had box, no scale but at least box was stamped for 1988. Im quite confident that the ASU is older. |

Lower right corner is a solido BTR-40 a big 1/48 Above that is a toy plastic PT-76 not a scale model but little bigger than 1/48 Top of front row is a toy BRDM-2 a little smaller in scale than most of the others – in real life it the same size as the BTR-40 Middle row bottom is a GAZ (jeep) in 1/43 I'd guess – too big for 28mm Middle is a T-54 toy – a small 1/48ish Middle row top is a die-cast toy BTR-60 – no real scale but ok for 28mm minis – not a great model – lots on E-BAY Back row bottom a GAZ-66 truck in 1/43 too big for 28mm Back Row middle a ZSU 57-2 looks to be same manufacturer as the T-54 in front of it – a little small but ok for 28 upper left corner is a 1/72 model truck – not sure the model – early WWII vintage |
