Rafa,
Great stuff as always!! I recently bought your book on painting 28mm Napoleonics – really well done and I certainly picked up some useful ideas.
Would love to know your technique for the 15/18mm Hussar jackets.

Regards,

John

Yip lovely Rafa,
Just received your magazine on painting French naps, very enjoyable. Was hoping to see some of your 18mm French in it and how you do them but still excellent.

Hadn't realised who had written the book! I have already dropped a strong hint with my offspring, for my birthday next month. Great idea for a publication. Similar stuff on LOTR, by Games Workshop, sold really well (esp to my lads) and inspired me.

I keep asking this. Why is it that the smaller scales (18/15mm) always produce better proportioned figures than most 28mm (with honourable exceptions)?

It helps that you have painted with such skill, but also the figures have heads and limbs that match their trunks. Alban seem able to manage it too, but, yet again, they are smaller than what we would call 28mm.
