First, I want to say I am super stoked about this line, but I'm not financially affiliated in any way. Anyway, the guy who started it is a bit shy with the concept/artwork, but this got me super-psyched! Little minion aliens, freaky skeletal professionals, and brutish brunt-ogre shock troopers with choppy SMGs? Hell yes please! Check out the link below as well as there's a "gun skimmer" for the next stretch goal I'd really like, a battlesuit, and also a dropship/gunship down the pipe.

I think I remember seeing that second link before, either here or on Lead Adventure Forum. I agree. They look like they'll be a lot of fun. Dan |

It is a great project – wish you guys well. Wil have to wait until next year to get some but well done on getting the funding! |

Hmmm…I already have a lot of 15 mm Science Fiction; however, all of it is human based. This is a tempting Kickstarter. |

The goal here is to build a multi-alien force that be expanded and built upon after the Kickstarter. -Eli |

"Brunt-Ogres?"
Am I missing some connection here?

An odd case of parallel development. The Yan'drassi have been in development for a long time and I love prehistoric mammals. |

very nice indeed. I've always been a sucker for hardcore prehistoric animal humanoids with plasma cannons. |

BlackWidiwPilot has a point. Those khurasan miniatures models were released months before you started this Kickstarter. Why didn't you just make some changes so they are not the same creatures with the same choppy weapons? Would have made sense. |

Smelson, I am very aware that the Brunts were out months before this Kickstarter started. My Horgosi design has been on the drawing board for years, originally as an idea for my own gaming. It is a favorite design of mine and so when I finalized the concepts for the Yan'drassi I saw no reason to do away with a perfectly good design because somebody did something similar. I feel the designs are sufficiently different enough that there is room for both of them on the market. Khurasan's Brunts are great and I think it's wonderful that somebody else is drawing off of prehistoric mammals for inspiration. -Eli |

They look distinct enough to me. And honestly given the amount of cribbing in science fiction (movies borrowing from books, books borrowing from video games, etc, etc) I don't see that this is some terrible crisis in which designs must be changed. As much as I like khurasan products, I really don't like the Brunts because they're way too rhino with a gun for my tastes. The horgosi have a similar inspiration, but the proliferation of hair, and more alien looking armor sets them apart for me, and once I figure out how to make this kickstarter thing work right, I'm totally dropping some dollars for some. |

There are still 11 days for you to figure it out! The Yan'drassi will be waiting for you Thank you for your support, -Eli |

Just settled for "I'll sort it out later." I'm currently an international customer, and will be through the end of the kickstarter, but by the time you actually have the miniatures ready to go, I'll actually be living in Tacoma. Anyway I can just put the soon to be defunct international shipping part of my pledge towards add-ons? Further, will there be a panicking neek sculpt? Not at all required, but seems like the sort of pose you might find one of them in. |

Tacoma? Awesome. South of me about an hour's drive. We can arrange to work out that shipping difference, just remind me when I send the survey out. As for Neeks in goofy poses, that is a pack I would love to do. Panicking, cowering, sleeping on the job, etc. Probably after I get the more necessary packs into the range. -Eli |

pardon the slow response (been busy in Academic Hell again…)… I suspected it was essentially a matter of Great (Evil) Minds Thinking Alike, really. Personally, I too am fond of prehistoric megafauna, but instead of using a rhino ancestor, why not a race of Big Muscle alien troops based off of these cute n' cuddly fellows:

I mean, what's more perfect for an alien assault trooper than to be essentially a bipedal giant hog dipped in natural armor with teeth capable of splintering a steer knuckle like it was a popcorn shrimp? Dress 'em in high tech ballistic body armor, arm them with 37mm auto grenade launchers rigged as SMGs to suit their massive size, potato masher style hand grenades with 20 pound warheads, and hand weapons to match for getting up close and personal, and why not a sidearm in the form of a 12-gauge semi auto shotgun as a suitably sized "holdout piece," and yer good to go (and not even the strongest fort on the Maginot Line would last ten minutes against such "stosstruppen)." Just the thought of such an assault wave… Mwahahahahaaaa!!!!

I wanted to work in the cheek bones of the Daeodon, but they are not as pronounced with the harry skin. Here is some of the early concept art from when we were working out the basic anatomy. I think this art really shows the shaggy powerful build of the Horgosi…
