This is for artillery evidently.

and the question we have been asking elsewhere is why yet another "British" 6pdr? It is very nice so far, but there is much competition now, for this particular gun!

There are still so many really duff cavalry figures, and even more poorly proportioned and animated horses- that in my view this is where kick starters should go if they want to make an impact.
To have for example a really well made range of French Chasseurs a Cheval (in many if not all of their uniform variations), with realistic horses and accurate saddlery would make for a successful kick start
Of course there are only a few sculptors who can turn out a faintly realistic horse, so I recognise this is a tall order…..

Deadhead: when you have a figure range you need to provide all of the basic combat arms and have everything compatible within that range. Otherwise consumers will not buy into your range of figures.

So if you make British Peninsula War figures, it stands to reason that you would want to have a 6-pounder as one of your cannon.

I'm glad to see that Alban is building out its range now.

Fully agree and see your point.

Their range features what look like excellently proportioned figures. Nicely cast, good detail and animation. The snag is, as you have hinted, they are incompatible with most folks' 28mm collection. You'd have to commit from the outset to their range and hope it keeps expanding, into every unit you desire. A brave move by any new manufacturer…..I do wonder why…..they may be taking the very long term view and I certainly wish them well

It appears that Alban is back into expansion mode. I hadn't looked at their web site in quite awhile and I see that since my last visit they've added Austrian cuirassiers and uhlans, more French infantry and now the artillery for Austria, France and Britain are all on the horizon. So it looks like Alban is working diligently on providing the three combat arms for each nation.
