Anyone know of a figure manufacturer that has figures that play nice with Perry 28mm Napoleonics. I need some figures they don't make. Thanks. |

foundry work well, seeing as they are also sculpted predominantly by the perrys. the old victrix metals(now from brigade games in the US) also work well. not surprising since they were an extension of the plastics which also work well. Front rank, if not mixed in the same units will look fine. i can't speak to anything else as that mostly sums up what i have. |

foundry work well, seeing as they are also sculpted predominantly by the perrys. True, but only to an extent. Foundry's French, British and Bavarians (?) tend to be true 25mm size, so they look small compared to the Perrys' newest stuff. Foundry's other Nap lines (e.g., Russians) are much closer in size to the newer Perry stuff. |

Foundry does not work (especially the horses). Way smaller, the Foundrys are a very good match with OG. Victrix is actually the only way to go. |

The new Front Rank reinforcement packs work with Perry. The earlier Front Rank stuff really doesn't. |

There are a load of comparison photos here…. link |

Murawski Miniatures Poles were made to work along side both the Perry's output and the Foundry Perry stuff. Please see below:

So if we are talking metal, is the view that Front Rank (except perhaps the reinforcement packs), Caple and Westphalia are all either to large or too stout? I was wondering what Saxons were recommended with Perrys, and whether anyone had a view as to Wurttemberg figs. |

Westfalia should be a perfect fit as they were sculpted by Paul Hicks who did the Murawski Poles to the same spec. Front Rank's Wurttembergers are excellent figures; they are however only really suitable for pre-1812 if I am correct. All the figures are ok on the same table as long as you dont mix in the same unit. The ones that may cause problems are Victrix which are very tall, but they figure in my collection and am happy to have them on the table. |

Great thanks for that. I will check out the Westfalia. Now for the hunt for Saxons… |

oops I meant Saxon Cavalry … |

The Eureka cavalry looks better painted up than it does in the bare metal. A friend has converted the Perry plastic cuirassiers into Saxon cavalry and they look pretty good to me. Ask Kawe what plans he has with teh Saxon cavalry; I am sure he means to do a full range. |

Really, Old Glory doesn't look bad at all on the table with Perry figures either; better in separate units in general, though. Closer in size to the original foundry figures. |

If you base Foundry models a bit higher they fit with Perrys, because the head size is the same. |

Thanks very much for your responses; will check out each suggestion and make some decisions, even if it ends up being waiting for Kawe. Cheers |

In general, all of Paul Hicks' figures work with Perry. It's just that he sculpts for so many people it can be hard to tell which are his. I know he is responsible for Murawski's Poles, Westphalia's Saxons, all of Brigade Games' Napoleonics, and possibly others? I think his stuff works better with Perry than Front Rank does, although I am totally smitten with the new FR stuff. They all work fine on the table together, I just wouldn't mix them in the same unit. |
