So… I set up the dining room table for a game. Carefully place my terrain and figures. Pleased with how everything looks, I go and make a beverage and I come back to this –
Guess I ignored the cat too much. |

Ignore them at your peril. They won't allow it. |

But you build a room that was his size. |

It's cardboard! That is just begging to have a cat in it. |
Tony58 | 09 Sep 2014 6:50 a.m. PST |
Well at least it's not a complete cat-astrophe :) |

My cat would sit in the middle of my terrain all the time. She also rolled dice until they fell on the floor. She'd give me a look and use her cat powers to distract me from seeing the dice being pushed to the floor. I miss having a cat on my game table. |

I live in a house with a great many cats but the door to my game room always stays closed. |

My friend's old cat would plant itself right in the middle of a battle, rolling on speartips with abandon! The cat didn't seem to care… Damon. |

You don't game ECW with pike blocks then. |

Gamed with a guy who had a great big sand table. Easy to build up hill and make sunken roads etc. Had to keep the door to the room closed or his cats would leave little "presents" for one to find. |

Write it into the scenario as a random Kaiju encounter. |

Thought it would make a good Pulp Alley Extremely Perilous area! |

All Praise The True Lord of the Gaming Table. |

Your terrain looks vaguely "box like" – hence the cat! |
rampantlion | 09 Sep 2014 8:24 a.m. PST |
I feel your pain! I have 2 cats who love to lay in the middle of the gaming table as soon as the terrain is laid out. They are worth the fuss though. |

I run into the same problem here. Gaming table, painting table, any table. It's what they do. |

Your troops will need flamethrowers. Only way to deal with one of those. |

After reading your title I KNEW what to expect… (;-)).We have three cats, and one regularly want to sit on my lap while I am painting. She never touches even one little figure. When I sit behind the computer however I have to remove yards of suddenly created nonsense-sentences…. |

I'm with 45th Division. Nick my "wargaming Cat" would prowl the table and could cross a battlefield without so much as tipping a single stand of figures…if that was his mood. Sadly Nick passed on and I miss him greatly! |

You have a box the cat will find it or at least mine will. You terrain looked like a box at least to a cat. |

Saw your mistake: "Carefully set up MY terrain and figures." Silly human. What's yours is his and what's his is his. |
