Back in the mid/late 1980s, the US game distributor "The Armory" produced army boxes that were (IIRC) based on WRG's Army Lists. Each box included all the miniatures needed to build an army and they also offered the miniatures bagged separately. Does anyone know who made the miniatures or if they're even still available?

Thanks!

Well, I believe they also may have done Tactica. I have 2 armies by Chariot Minis.

Essex offered these sorts (and I believe still do). The famous "Blue Box" armies have been around for awhile.

I have 3 of them in 25mm and what is nice is that they give you a solid core to build on for other rules sets.

Thanks! I tracked down Essex's website and those are indeed the minis I remember.
