I've seen a few photos that show Israeli troops in a greenish uniform a different color from what their vehicles were painted.
Any suggestions on what color to use for Israeli infantry uniforms for '67 and '73? Thanks in advance. |

Hard to tell, from experience they are often faded from exposure to the sun and covered in a fine layer of dust/sand, (the photo is from the Southern front in 73). I'd think the man on the left had a shirt that was originally the same colour as Dayan's, on the right. |

Vallejo Olive Gray, maybe? Otherwise you're getting into mixes. I'd start with Vallejo Model Color 893 US Dark Green, and add a bit of … Stone Grey, maybe, and adjust the mix from there. |

The color was olive green, similar to Spanish olives. webbing was khaki tan, as seen on Sharon in the photo. |

Didn't some IDF, like Paras, have the old French "lizard" pattern uniform in '67. I'm sure I've see pics of that … |

One other note, especially when looking at older photographs. Different film types and ages can "see" or record colour quite differently. So, what you see in the photograph may not be entirely accurate to what your eye would have seen if you were standing by when the. Photo was taken. Digital photography is not immune to this either. I can photograph the same object in direct sun, indirect sun, and shade/shadow and have it come out looking three different ways. |
