I am being tempted to buy some of Redoubt's highly individualistic Trojans. Redoubt has a lot of ink drawings rather than photos of product on their website. The photos of their Sudan line look good, but their Vikings, which look sloppy and a bit melty, make me hesitate. Can any of you speak for Redoubt's Trojan line? Post a picture, even? |

I gave found they run to different sizes. Example; their Trojan spear men with tower shield good fit with Foundry et al. Their Lukka warriors ( the feathered crown helmet ) are much bigger by 5 mm and don't fit in with Foundry et al. |

Thanks, I'll avoid the Lukka. Are they pretty? |

Yes, nice figures and paint up well, but a bit too big. |

They are an acquired taste, as the sculpting is a bit wonky here and there, but I love them! See here for what RedZed painted for me:
and look here for more pics and inspiration: link Foundry are the best, but I like the Redoubt, and don't forget the lovely BTD line, 35% off right now. |

I don't think the Redoubt are too big either. Sculpted to fill out the Foundry line by design. My stuff here: link |

I liked painting the Redoubt figures when I first owned a Trojan War force. Redoing it a second time with Old Glory and some Foundry. The Redoubt figures run about 30mm, if memory serves me correct. |

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Redoubt Trojan range. They match the Foundry range perfectly( and I'm considered 'difficult' in that area)and the quality is very good. Replace the (separate) soft spears/pikes as they are very thick. |
