Heer46 announced a russian B-4 Howitzer in 1/100th.
o5m6.de/b-4.html
"203 mm howitzer M1931 (B-4) (Russian: 203-мм гаубица обр. 1931 г. (Б-4)) was a 203 mm (8 inch) Soviet heavy howitzer. During the Great Patriotic War, it was under the command of the Stavka's strategic reserve. It was nicknamed "Stalin's sledgehammer" by German soldiers. These guns were used with success against heavy German fortifications and in urban combat for crushing protected buildings and bunkers. This weapon was used right up until the end of the war in the Battle of Berlin where the Red Army would bring these guns up at point blank range to smash German fortifications with their heavy 203mm shells" From Wiki

That is such a monster… Kinda surprised nobody is making one in 1/100. Irregular makes one in their "Really Useful Guns" series, but the Really Useful Guns are closer to 1/87 scale than 1/100. Not sure about Flames of War, but I know that beast is an option for the Soviets in Battlegroup: Fall of the Reich. Piers had some good luck with his B4 shooting at some Pumas… |

I would love to see one in 1/56 scale. Yes I know it would be big but I like big guns. |

I've always liked the look of the tracks on that artillery piece…. |

It is a nice looking model but it is hard to imagine many skirmish or tactical scenarios in which the model could be used. How do you field an 8 inch gun in a small scale scenario? A break-through scenario perhaps but that is about it. Rod Robertson |

@Rod: There's photos and even movie clips of them being used in Berlin and other cities, direct-fire into buildings. And that's why they're in Fall of the Reich. |

Old Glory has this gun in 15mm already. They got it a couple years ago when they absorbed a smaller company, I'm not sure but "Pass of the North" or something like that rings a bell. I have four painted up for my Commie forces. |

True North and Gaming Models both already make the gun and although the Gaming Models one is fairly crude it is very cheap. The Heer46 one pictured above appears to have far too much tapering on the gun barrel. |
