I stumbled upon this today on Netflix. The uniforms are really well done. The French Zouave uniforms are really good. The film is in Spanish with English subtitles. It takes a bit to get going, but the battles are nice. Just thought I would share. Matthew |

Just finished. It was fine. I was impressed with the quality of the production. Good costume and sets. The acting was done well, not over the top. |

Some other good war films available on Netflix - "1911" – The Chinese revolution that ended the imperial dynasty and the warlords and brought Sun Yat Sen to power (Jackie Chan appears in this film in a supporting role); subtitled. "The Power and the Glory" – The Mexican Christeros war, with Andy Garcia and Eva Longoria as the leads; subtitled. "The Day of the Siege" – A very well done film. The climax is especially good, as Jan Sobieski, the Black Madonna, and the Polish Winged Hussars trample the Ottomans outside Vienna in 1683. A joint Polish/Italian production; in English. B |

I have noticed an increase in the number of war film on Netflix lately. Zulu is there and the ww2 film, my way. Oh and Sand Pebbles with Steve McQueen. |
