Does anyone have tucked away the rules to the above or any of the rules from Knight's Design Horse and Musket period sets in 1mm – 6mm?

VonTed04 Sep 2014 5:31 a.m. PST

1mm ?!

Fizzypickles04 Sep 2014 5:46 a.m. PST

Painting 1mm figs would be 'interesting'

Who asked this joker04 Sep 2014 6:05 a.m. PST

Is that measured 1mm to the eye or to the top of the head. It makes a huge difference you know. It helps to know if they can mix well with other ranges. grin

Dan Beattie04 Sep 2014 9:37 a.m. PST

I can't find any other ranges. Wait a minute, I can't find this one without a flashlight!

These were, I believe, "hair roller" type figures.

This was my first inquiry on The Miniatures Page. What a disappointment on the responses so far. Four Jerk Offs and a Joker. If I want Jerk Offs and Jokers CNN and Fox News is loaded with PR's {{Political Rectums} each night.

Dave Crowell04 Sep 2014 3:07 p.m. PST

Sadly this is the usual response to smaller scale miniatures. The 2mm wargaming Yahoo group might be able to help you.

I haven't seen the figures or the rules I'm afraid, although I do like the scale.

I have the old Knights Design 5mm Alamo and Mexican-American War armies. I tried to find the rules that came with them but couldn't. I'll keep looking and post if I should run across them. BTW, from my hazy recollection, the rules were very rudimentary and not at all presented in as nice a format as the ones shown by Mark. I *think* the same set of rules were used for all their 19th century era armies but I wouldn't swear to it. I wound up using "Rusty's Rules" when I played with them.

armee180505 Sep 2014 5:23 p.m. PST

likely Old School: The Napoleonic Rules you suggested are entirely different from Knight's Design. Thanks for trying.
Ragbones: I also have an unstarted 6mm Alamo and Mexican American War sets. Sadly no rules.

mumbasa05 Sep 2014 7:03 p.m. PST

Years ago, Knight Design sold their line of 1mm Napoleonics, 2mm Ancient, and possibly the 6mm Alamo sets to a California company called Adventure Simulation Games based at 22659 Keswick Street, Canoga Park, CA 91304 (818) 720-0670 That's the address on the Alexander the Great rules that came with the Ancients. They were written by Steve Chipperfield of Knight Design in long hand. I don't have the figures anymore. Hope this helps.

I missed out on getting their Far East naval pack full of tiny junks and even some Korean turtle ships! Maybe not the best figures ever but the idea of battlepacks with everything you need at a decent price was a great idea. I would love to get any of their naval stuff.

Blutarski06 Sep 2014 5:30 a.m. PST

….. I have a copy of the Knight/Dennis/Jeffreys "American Civil War Rules for an army-level wargame with 2mm or 6mm miniatures (published in 1986 by Hard Cover Designs UK).

armee1805, can't help on your search but congratulations on calling out the immaturity. Believe it or not, it has risen dramatically over the years. Used to be worse. But don't give up hope. There are lots of helpful folks here on TMP – you just have to put up with the other stuff. And I'm surprised no one's called you out on being so strident with a first post! That is a good sign. There's always hope.
Good luck on your search.

I have the Napoleonic rules scanned so if you are interested I can send them to you. They aren't 'old school', but one effort to make Variable Length Bounds type of rules work.

McLaddlie.

Are these the rules by Dennis & Knight? These are entirely different from Knight's Designs.
Thanks

1mm, really? IMHO you are much better off playing a board game. There are still a lot of excellent historical board wargames from back in the day available and new ones being produced by companies such as GMT.

Being a collector. I'm well aware of what is currently available and hopefully available in the near future such as Zvezda's Art Of Tactic Napoleon In Russia or Gordon and Hague Waterloo game/15mm painted Napoleonic figures. Opinions can be a dime a dozen. Information however is priceless and appreciated. Really!

Old Contemptibles08 Sep 2014 11:43 a.m. PST

To each his own. It was just a suggestion.

armee180518 Sep 2014 5:04 a.m. PST

Yep, you are right. I have the Dennis and Knight rules. Mea Culpa.
