Question? I am putting together some German Half Tracks and am having an issue installing the rear Machine Gun. There is not enough of a hole to insert it. What is the best way make the hole deeper so I can insert it or should I glue it on top. If I glue it on top it will snap off very easy. Thanks |

Do you have a pin vise? (and a tiny tiny drill bit) |

If you don't have a pin vise then get one. Don't see how anyone can live without it. |

Pin vise. link Get an assortment of bits too. If you are modeling 15mm metal tanks, it is extremely useful. I even replace fragile cast gun barrels with brass rod. Drill through the turret, and shove the rod all the way through to the back wall to anchor it into place. |

I will get one! Can someone recommend a good one to work with 15mm miniatures? |

I think it's mostly about the bit you choose. I'd go to a local hobby shop and buy whatever pin vice they have available, and then find a good bit. For 15mm you probably want smaller. Bring your fig along so you can try and eyeball the size of the shank/hole you'll need. My suggestion is a model train store for more selection of hobby tools, but I suppose your results will vary based on where you are located. |

It is all about the quality of bit you choose not so much the pin vise itself. Model RR shop is definitely the best bet. |

I have two different ones, each having advantages over the other. One is larger handled and also is hollow, allowing for bit storage in the handle. The other is smaller but has a little spinny-disk thing on one end which makes drilling easier. Personally I am glad I have both! |
