I recently took delivery of my Battle Systems Kickstarter Sci-fi Modular Terrain. Having put together a layout, I had a sci-fi game of Pulp Alley using Judge Dredd as inspiration.

Results can be seen here – link

Using Pulp Alley was a great idea and really lended itself to the madcap world of Judge Dredd. It's a shame I didn't record the game conversation – lots of monkey impressions & Dredd quotes. All this without the need for alcohol!

Nice.

Very nicely done.

I think Dredd needs some R&R, if those chimps gave him that much trouble. grin

I think if alcohol had been involved, the game might just not have been finished.

Dredd and Anderson were a two figure league developed using some playtest rules on the Pulp Alley Yahoo group. We did find that a combination of poor dice rolling and multiple combats can quite easily tie up one of the two figures.

Also, Anderson wasn't helped in that she kept being pinned by a character who could play a burst.

Maybe during Dredd's last medical he got injected with something that made him sympathise with chimps by that naughty Doctor Oran Gutan?

Great write up and pics.

Poor Dredd….after all those bites he is The Sore!

Remember -- you can always try to Dodge a peril/burst.

One way I deal with pesky Bursts is to use Dodge to move out of the area when it is placed. Then when it's my activation, I'm ready to move normally.

Have fun

I tried all sorts of things to get out of the way of the burst. The dice just wouldn't help ;-)
