I'm working on a new sculpt NAC Albion hybrid CVL/BDN, and have a couple of questions for you guys:

1) Where should I attach my Corsec mounting adaptor? There's an indent on the central spine of the ship on the bottom (which is where I suspect it should go), and a hole on the bottom of the fighter pod on the left. Which is correct?

2) Has anyone experimented with shortening the outlandishly long central spine that attaches to the front command pod? It looks way too long to me, and I'm tempted to shorten it up a bit, but I am not sure if it might cause problems with the balance of the model on the stand. Any thoughts?

The "hole", aka "indent" on the spine on the right has the look of where the normal mounting stem ought to go. But I am not sure if the ship ought to be mounted there, or where the hole is on the underside of the fighter pod on the left.

Nevermind, figured it out.

Good, but I'm wondering if 'chopping' the spine will throw off the center of balance.

I ended up not chopping the spine. I looked at it and thought that the command module being closer to the rear of the ship might interfere with the fighters taking off, so I didn't change it. :)

May I wheedle a look when finished?

Never noticed the beast til you mentioned it.

I will post some pics. It's primed, not yet painted. I'm trying to get as many minis primed as I can before the colder weather sets in (try to do them outside so as to not stink up the house more than I have to), and my ESU ships have priority on my painting time right now.
