There's a gas.o.line conversion kit you use with the hull from a Tamiya sherman or m10. |

Here's a Verem 1/50 scale one you can get for a decent price if you don't mind the chunky metal tracks. Ends soon though: auction |

Surprised Tamiya hasn't gotten around to one in 1/48, yet! |

I'd be a bit leery of fielding a 1/50 Priest with 1/48 Shermans or M10s on the same field, to be honest. |

Verem and Solido are one and the same. Verem models have better paint jobs and tend to cost more. 1/50 and 1/48 are virtually identical in size. Just don't mix them with 1/43 (too big) or 1/56 (too small). |

I know some people have sufficiently-calibrated eyeballs that they can actually tell the difference between 1/48 and 1/50, or 1/72 and 1/76. Some days I'm that picky/observant. It's why I try to keep all to one maker for any given vehicle or chassis, in the case of WW2 US armor. The Krauts you can usually get away with more makers because the Germans used a lot more different base chassis. But all the Shermans, Priests, and M10s should be exactly the same size across the front differential casing! |
