Habitation of the Stone Giant Lord is a D&D module created by a twelve year old in 1982. Talk about Old School. It has been scanned in all its graph paper and typewriter glory.

Now THAT, my friend, is what it's all about! Fantastic! Boy that takes me back. I used to do the same kind of thing--making it look all "official" back in the day.

The link says "he was 14 at the time" not 12.

Cool though.

Wow, some SERIOUS nostalgia there. Thanks for the post, Armand.

The best era of D&D in my opinion.

And of course my question is simply…………..
where is this 14 yr old now?
Whats he doing?
What has he done since then? Does he still play D&D?
If yes, what does he think of the different editions over the ages and especially of the new 5th edition?
OK fine, it was more than one question i was thinking. :-)

Google "Gaius Stern." He's pretty accomplished, with a BA in Classics, another in History, an MA and PhD in Roman History, and he lectures in Classical Civilizations (History, Art History, Mythology, and Literature) at UC Berkeley. Cool!

That's awesome, and sends me way back. I never attempted quite as much art in my efforts (though I once drew the entrance to a dragon's lair to show my players when their PCs arrived on the scene, blatantly ripping off the concept of the Great Gate of Erebor from The Hobbit). I also drew a lot of dragons.
Ah, the creativity of youth, that appreciated what we could do without really noticing what we could not do well… grin

That website is dumbfounding! If I'd thought back then that anyone would scan and digitally archive such stuff, I..well, I wouldn't have believed myself. Does take me back!
