Pic of my 10mm
More here link I have 16 pike in 4x4 on a 30mm base – as dense as I can get them. The muskets are a frontage of 4 on 30mm, with looser behind, waiting to move forward etc. (For comparison my WSS are frontage of 3 on 20mm, Romans 6 on 40mm) Horse is 3 wide, again on 30mm, 2 deep (40mm – for Peter Pig's Regiment of Foote) All the other 10mm ECW I've seen are looser. 30mm in 10mm is approx 5m frontage in relation to figure (not ground) scale. Are mine too tight? |

Not really, depends on what you want and on your ground scale and figure ratios. I also use 10mm but on 1 1/2 " square bases. So about 37mm square. I get 16 pike, in four ranks of four, with officers/colours in front. My muskets are 10 to a base with two ranks of five, and a sergeant or officer/drummer behind. My horse and Dragoons average out at about 5 a base, although some of my earlier ones have six. Mollinary |

If it looks good to you, then no. I think they look fine. |
