Hi, Other than Crossfire, do you know any rulesets with a low use of charts and measurements? Thanks Roby |

If you like skirmish you might like to try Normandy Firefight which is sold by Northstar Military Figures. It's meant for 1/35 scale but I just use the same measurements for 28mm. I find it's fun & fast. |

Chain of Command uses very few charts, you have to measure though. If you like skirmish Flying Lead uses three units to measure, short, medium & long rather than cms or inches & no charts for fighting. |

Disposable Heroes uses few and easily memorized charts for infantry and simple measuring (pretty much in or out of range). The tank rules on the other hand are chart heavy (I still like them though☺) |

Look Sarge, No Charts. Never played it, though, so can't comment on goodness or badness. |

PBI from Peter Pig uses a 8 x 8 Grid. Remarkably effective. It costs action points to LEAVE cover. Distances allow 1 diagonal to be counted. Due to the small number of squares involved distances aren't distorted badly. |

You have not said what sort of game, sise and or type). MG is platoon up (so a platoon in a defensive position would need about a company to get rid of them. With infantry you are unlikely to do much rifle or MG maesuring as thre shouylod be enough terrain it will never see max range (like Cross fire). You do have to measure moves. a number of samll charts for infantry, Reaction, Mode, weapon effect and range (only 1 range, damage. For vehicals there is more. Vehicle details, weapon details, penetration and damage. I guess the best summery is that its QR sheet is only about 1 side for infantry and less than two sides for everything that is really useful. |
