I wonder if the Mayor replied "Nuts!" when asked to surrender? |

This would be the down side of 'kill all the prisoners' terror tactics. Your enemies won't surrender any more. I would wargame this by giving any unit that is defending an immovable, critical objective, like his farm or his family, infinite morale against ISIS. |

Shame some in the Iraqi Army did not fight as tenaciously for their country. ISIS will have to crush this outpost of resistance otherwise it seriously undermines their authority. Another downside to their tactics, they have to be constantly brutal to keep power but eventually the brutality will destroy them. Even the Butcher Saddam realised this and selectively applied the terror, ISIS have to replicate the 1984 strategy of the continuous boot in the face. |

Well … at least someone[Turkmen] held out … besides the just the Kurds … And where is the actual Iraqi Army ? If you were going to game this … at the end of every turn, roll 2d6, if it comes up Snake Eyes – the Iraqis show up. The after each turn roll 2d6 again and if Snake Eyes comes up, the Iraqis leave the board and abandon all their equipment on the gaming table … |

And the US need to roll 1 to 6 for air strikes success but only after a snake eye roll for an OK to go ahead. Sad that some people have to fight tenaciously to just exist while there could be a simple solution and a smile on a missile/bomb suppliers face regarding replacement of said missile/bombs after their good use. Cheers and hoping there is a just solution soon. Funny how we all use D6 solutions to a D1000 problem What rules actually make sense for you guys to this 'bad' war. |
