Hi 28mm Redoubt Enterprises figures. 35mm wide by 40mm depth, thought the 40 x 40 left them a bit to spread out. This is to add to the existing Union troops I have and the 114th is in there im afraid. No , Confederates (Hoods Division 18 rgts)are all finished bar five command stands. :-) |

"35mm wide by 40mm depth, thought the 40 x 40 left them a bit to spread out." I am preparing some 28mm figures for larger battles now (my current figures are all singly based for skirmishing) and I am trying to figure out how to base them. 40 X 40 appears to be the standard…but I agree that it looks a little to spread out; especially with soldiers marching at the shoulder. Still not sure how to go. |

Hmmmm seems larger redoubt minis seem to fit well enough on 35x40 I guess if you had them cut for you it would look a little more realistic. the second set of pics show the command stands a lot clearer. |

Hammer I cut all my own bases,i use 2mm white plasticard . Its very easy to just draw the squares onto the card then score the lines with a blade and a ruler(hold tight do it slowly ,one deep cut/score), then I just bend the plasticard to snap it on the cuts. for irregular bases I chop it close to the shapes and use sharp scissors to cut the curves. Cheers Alan |

Yes ,thanks i`m not that busy with wargaming at the moment. Might consider re-basing. I`ve found a Stanley knife the best thing for heavy duty cutting. Look forward to some more photos sometime. |
