I've run that first Pulp Alley adventure now: Showdown at the Graceful Ghost. The AAR is entitled Once Upon a Gilsonite Mine . . . (For the curious gilsonite was one of several names for an asphaltum ore used to make paving materials in the mid twentieth century. There was a fairly well known lode in Utah's Uintah mountains. To my knowledge it was never mined from a hard rock shaft mine of the sort depicted, but why should reality stop a funny story? This is, after all, a Space Sword and Sorcery Western.) The preliminaries for this showed up in 28 mm Outbuildings and Gangs if you want a closeup of the various gangs. Anyway . . . It's nice to see that my miniatures can be used for an actual game every actual once in a while. Here's the art from the game itself . . .
Pulp Alley worked out quite nicely. It was suitably cinematic, quite funny, and generally good fun. I bet it will be even better if I can use the rules right. (This would work best with more players and fewer miniatures, but even with what we had, once you play the initiative system correctly it moves right along.) Short version? This is a great little game. Go take a peak over at the Pulp Alley site. As always, thanks for reading. Sincerely, The Composer |

Are you allowed to use 40k mini in a non-40k game?! :) |

I see no problem with using old (or even new) miniatures from any manufacturer for anything you want unless some specific club or league rule prohibits it. (And this will be a different club than any to which I would belong.) Thank you. :-) It was fun. Good system. |

Eegads! Is that why I had such terrible acne as a kid? (And still get it from time to time now that I'm past forty.) I think I will continue to take my chances and use my miniatures with non-GW and older officially unsupported games that don't exist anymore. Very nice Terrement. That does seem to reflect the official GW position. |

I think that the last official position from GW was that you can't use non GW figs in a GW event / tournament You can't use GW figures in a GW tournament if they are more than 2 generations old. |

^dragon6 All the more reason to buy only things three generations old or older. (Pretty much my policy anyway.) |

When I purchase a figure it is mine and I'll use it however I like . . . and even play with it in any game I choose to. But getting back to the original purpose of this thread, that is a lovely set-up for the game and it looks like a lot of fun, sir. Well done! -- Jeff |

^Jeff, Thank you! I hope it was fun and I hope rescuing Kitty (The reformed Escher "juve" with the Hello Kitty shirt) will prove every bit as interesting. (Cap'n Squiggycap's crew seems to have made off with her. All will be revealed in the next episode: "Hello Kitty on a Hot Tin Roof.") |

I'm a bit confused, Bunkermeister. What's most likely to have the side effects? My bad prose or GW's peculiar policies? ;-) |

Thank you, Dave. And thank you for sharing your quite elegant system with us. I must say I'm enjoying your game so far. It's a great framework for an adventure. |
