Can anyone tell me where I can get a replacement barrel for the Warlord Panzer IV ausf H. mine came broken… preferably bronze or brass so I don't have to worry about it. I need this before my Tank War Demo game Sept 13… Thanks Jorge
Sorry for the typo in the title; its a Panzer IV… |

I would imagine Warlord would ship you a free replacement, and under the circumstances, expedite the shipment. |

Cut a slip of cigarette paper the length of the barrel and a bit wider than needed to wrap around. I like Zig-Zag brand, it's the thinnest. Dip it in two-part epoxy and wrap it around the barrel as a cast. Dab some epoxy on the break, too. Wa-la, the Crap Artist strikes again. |

So do zippyfusenet's thing and ask Warlord for a replacement. That way you are covered for your event and can determine which you prefer at your leisure. |

By the way, I was thinking, if I get my hands on 2mm copper or brass tubing, I'm set! I could just cut the base and muzzle of the gun, drill holes, and glue them onto the tubing, hola, presto, new gun! Let's see if my FLGS has that sort of thing… |

Thanks for the idea, zippyfusenet! |

You could also try drilling and pinning. But I sure do like zippyfusenet's idea. |

The piece looks too thin to pin, which is what I developed my paper-cast technique for. The cast may noticeably increase the diameter of the piece, but it will usually pass from arm's length. Replacing the broken barrel with brass tube should also work. I'm slightly obsessive about never throwing anything away, although if you promise to give it a good home, you can back up the trailer and load up. |
