I'm not a "sock puppet," but I did find this article a bit humourous. And frankly, I'm a little surprised it took this long to be published! link |

That is exactly what a sock puppet would say. |

Speaking on a price comparison point, I think this was the best comment in the article! "…Certainly if you compare the cost of putting together an equivalent army, a Bolt Action force makes considerably less of a hole in your pocket!…" Certainly one of the biggest reasons I've moved away from GW in general. |

This is one thing that I do not like about these rules. Once a squad has 2 or 3 pin markers, it becomes quite hard to get it to do anything useful! The rules force total inaction when we know from history that units did actually do something. Like the GI's at Omaha Beach. Under these rules they would have never gotten off the beach. |

Thing is will they go the way of FoW and keep on changing the Army List for each of the armies? |

@Mithmee:That reminds me of one of the rulesets that turned me off of WW2 ages ago. Marines landing on the beach were pinned, then according to the ruleset, were forced to retreat into the water… |

That about it when we know from history that they would have moved inland. So that they can kill the s that are shooting at them. Plus how many green US Army units during World War II turned out to be not so green and held fast against the enemy. |
