Here is a quick blow-by-blow blog post showing how easy it is to create rocky escarpments out of insulating foam. My first attempt, but I think it worked out well. link
I made it specifically to be used alongside my 15mm city for Song of Shadows and Dust, but I'm sure it'll see action in other games as well. |

Ooh- pretty! The shadows of the crevices and jagged bits really make the piece pop out. I will have to give that a try. |
