Here's a report on a simple game involving a fair number of 6mm Russian and French/Confederation of the Rhine troops. We made use of my new cards for "personal characteristics of commanders": link Hope you enjoy it, Hugh |

I noticed that your pictures are of the Rock, Downey Jr. and Hugh Jackman, etc. How did you get them to pose in costume? No really, great idea and well done graphic melding. So how do the three traits affect the game? Or is it straight Black Powder? What graphics program did you use? |

Thanks to all who've taken an interest in this! Ah, getting the celebrities to pose was tricky – I had to call in quite a few favours for that! (More honestly, they can be found on the web: an artist has done quite a large number of such portraits and there is even a site where you can add your own picture: replaceface.tumblr.com ). The 3 traits (and high, average or low in each) are straight out of the Black Powder rulebook. They're somewhere in the optional rules towards the back. I'll be writing a blog article about the design and construction of these cards at some point in the future so I don't really want to spend too much time going into detail here. However, I can reveal that they're designed in PowerPoint. |
