Nicely done indeed. The plume does add to them. Broke my heart when these appeared from Perrys. Much evidence that this was one unit that did not wear the surtout at Waterloo, but instead their traditional longer tailed coat, with the white lapels. Nearer to parade dress and infinitely better looking Funny that the new Gendarmes (basically just modified Grenadiers and Dragoons, all on dragoon horses) are also more anatomically correct. Heads are not quite so big. Proportions better. Perrys rarely get it wrong…very rarely…..but just occasionally…. |

Thanks deadhead. I intend to paint also the Empress Dragoons in full dress. The trumpeter in white coat is superb! |
