I have been using a wash method for my 28mm medieval, but I decided with my Scots to try dry brushing them for a change of pace. Not up to the quality of much of the paint work I've seen here, but I'm happy with the result. link

Hand painted squares? You do very good detail work. I think a combo of wash followed by dry brush works best. The barding and surcoat could use more definition…. |

Thanks for the input, yes the squares are hand painted. I might still hit it with a light wash since I have not finish coated yet. |

The figure is from Barony Miniatures by the way, which I highly recommend. |
