Hoping to find reasonably priced stand ins for these:
Their base size is 1.45" (36.83mm) x .403" (10.24mm) so any replacement will need roughly the same footprint to work on the game board. |

Most 15mm scale military chariots just about squeeze onto a 40mm depth but (even 2 horse) are about 20mm wide. You might find some 10mm scale examples that would fit but NB racing chariots were not like war chariots … (unlike the pieces in the picture) they had almost no cab at all, and the driver vitually stood on the axle with the reins lashed around his waist. Hope you find something … Phil |

If the available chariots are too big for the board, you might consider having a photocopying place blow up the board. |

Irregular makes roman racing chariots (four horse) in 6mm. Check under 6mm-Civilians. There are even pictures. Doug |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Not terribly worried about historical accuracy as this is for a casual board game that's not even close to an authentic simulation. So this is strictly for flavor. Those 6mm chariots from irregular looked wonderful but are unfortunately too wide being 15mm at the base. The absolute widest I can use is 12mm with 10-11mm in width being ideal. |

There's a bit of room along each side of the base of those Irregular chariots – you could likely trim them down. Doug |
