So far I have watched:

Who Framed Roger Rabbit
North West Frontier

And now Zulu Dawn.

What are you watching on this rainy bank holiday Monday?

JimDuncanUK25 Aug 2014 8:53 a.m. PST

No rain in this part of the UK and I'm not sure it is a Bank Holiday either.

Despite that I'm watching the King and I while I paint some Rifles.

Sounds good! Painting some FPW at the moment.

I'm sitting at work, eating lunch and surfing TMP. Next Monday is our holiday. I'll be painting AWI.

When I was station in England I remember asking my British friends about Bank Holiday's.
Me "But whats it for?"
Friends "Its Bank Holiday."
Me "But whats the occasion?"
Friends "Its just a Bank Holiday"
I like that when the British decide they need a Holiday for a certain month they just can it a Bank Holiday, instead of finding something that happened that month and calling it after that, as we'd do in the States

Re Bank Holidays

Here is a better description of a UK Holiday (Bank Holiday or otherwise). Note that some are just seasonal, some are religious and some reflect an historical event of some sort.

Confused, we certainly are as they never seem to coincide with some decent weather or when you actually want a break from work.

I'm glad it rained all day, gave me & my son a chance to play a massive game of Heroscape.

JimDuncanUK26 Aug 2014 7:16 a.m. PST

@Karellian Knight

Would you be interested in acquiring some more Heroscape figures. I have a ton of them which I don't need.

I would accept a token contribution to a charitable donation I am collecting on behalf of my recently deceased best friend and wargaming buddy.
