Brent Oman at Piquet, Inc is gradually making a number of titles available in PDF form. All can be purchased by sending Brent PayPal payment: brentoman@q.com. As of today, these include the following, in order of PDF release: PKowboys (Western Gunfight rules) Blunders on the Danube (1809 Scenarios for Field of Battle rules) Theater of War (Multi-era Campaign system for classic Piquet supplements) Les Grognards, 2nd edition (Classic Piquet supplement for the Napoleonic Wars) Field of Battle, World War 1 (New this year for the anniversary of the start of the Great War) Grand Piquet (Stand alone rules by Jim Mauro for grand tactical combat in the Napoleonic era. Intended for use with 6 – 15mm figures; 1" = 50 yards for 15's, 100 yards for 10mm and below. 1 stand = 100 infantry, 500 cavalry, or 16 guns with crew. Number of figures per base has no effect ion the game)

What is the basic maneuver element you use in Blunders on the Danube? Battalion? |

Ray, As "Blunders" varies from very small engagements (Grochow, Gospic) to immense ones (Wagram), and Field of Battle itself doesn't obsess with details of unit strengths, the scenarios are set up so that a "unit" equals anywhere from 600 Infantry, 400 cavalry, or 6 – 8 guns (Standard FoB) to 1500 Infantry, 1000 Cavalry, and 12 – 18 guns (Wagram), thus "bathtubbing" it to a degree when needed. Each scenario explicitly states the troop ratios involved. Thus if the detailed strengths of each individual historical unit is important to you rather than a more aggregated picture, you'd be better off with Gill's trilogy (which was the main source that most of the OOB's were adapted from). I've been curious about Theatres of War as a general campaign tool, so this is welcome news. |

It's about time! I've been wanting these for a while and have been moving to buying rules in PDF only for quite a while. They're a little pricey for PDFs but I suppose I'll have to buy at least a few anyway… EDIT: Or not. All these are either among the few supplements that were not on my to buy list or I already own them. Tragic, but hopefully they'll add more |

Although Theater of War would take some work to adapt to a non Piquet based system, it certainly wouldn't be THAT difficult. The link in my blog post to Dave's adaptation of ToW for use with Hostile Realms, while still a Piquet based system, will give you a pretty good idea of how to go about it. I thunk that ToW is a very clever, flexible system for a relatively abstract campaign that focuses on creating battles with varied scenarios using no more troops than you have or want to use at the start, linked together and with a framework for deciding the result of the campaign in a reasonable time with very limited record keeping. |

I like ToW quite a bit. They are high for PDFs, but I'm exclusively buying PDFs now, and I'm looking forward to seeing what else Brent releases. Unfortunately, I already own the titles he has available. |

I would like to see ToW adopted to FoB2. |

I'll be making all the games available as PDF's, but I haven't made it through them all yet! As for pricing, I'd expect them all to settle in at the $12 USD to $15 USD range. These aren't small sets of rules – they have substantial content. |

Right – no "Army Lists", codices, etc. to buy separately – it's all in there! Having written several Piquet products and contributed to several others, I can tell you the Army lists are very time consuming to do – takes almost as long as the rules, and you can't really set them until the rules are finalized. [OK, well you *can get nice custom card decks for some products when they are available, but they are not necessary for play] :-) |
