This summer I've been catching up on painting the minis for Super Dungeon Explore. Must reduce the unpainted chibi mountain before the Forgotten King Kickstarter ships!

I'll have a bunch of photos of new work to post in the very near future. But first, catching up on adding some older painting to the blog.

Treasure Chests & Boo Booties (Mimics for you D&D players):

Conversion for the Dragon Pink party of Adventurers (those [realy entertaining] midnight hours spent at Dick & Busters' Hentai Dubbing events at Anime Boston paid off after all!):

And other minor conversions and stock characters from SDE:

Brave use of color, I've never thought of painting cobblestones like that, but for some reason it really works.

nicely painted but quite possibly the ugliest miniatures i've ever seen . i do NOT understand why that style is popular with anyone over the age of 7 .

Everyone has their own tastes for likes and dislikes. Me, I love these figures because they are so much fun to paint! I'm learning a whole new set of skills to paint facial expressions. And when they're all done, they make for a bright and colourful game; and I like miniatures gaming because of the visual panoply.

ernieR, I can understand why you may not like the style, but they are notoriously fun to paint. They have lots of style and they create a unique canvas compared to most other figures. I have a huge Chibi collection now, and they are by far the most completely painted of any of my stuff. They get the most play time and are the most complimented.

i guess i was a bit harsh . different strokes for different folks and all that .
as long as you're having fun it's all good :)
