Hey Bill. Could you or the other Editors please give an explanation to every action you or they take? Be it DH'ing,Deleting,Locking an account,Editing,Ect. It appears that some would really like one when you or they do something like that.Why don't you do it? Is it because you do not have enough time to be able to do so? Maybe have just an Editor whose primary purpose other then being an Editor is to give them.Perhaps when you lock an account you could also post the reason why, like you do with those DH'ed, so that those that are locked and those that are curious can see as to why they were. I am not aware of any other site really that gives you any explanation and I really ain't go no dog in this fight but was just wondering. |

That's a fair comment – if the editors do not bother to reply, privately or publicly, to explain why we are DH'd or locked then how can we keep within the increasingly arbitrary rules of behaviour? At the very least, it's a courtesy to those DH'd who have been long time members of TMP – says the man who was unexpectedly DH'd for the first time in many years for (I think) speaking up for Morris Dancers – which annoyed me at the time, but I took my punishment and got over it, even without an explanation. |
